The food was very good. We had the steak both of us. Mine was without a sauce and it was very tender juicy. The only problem that I feel from the restaurant is that the crowd is only American, It feels a little touristy but it was with general notes despite a long way for a reservation it’s a good place.

Excellent meal at this cozy restaurant! Tried a few dishes to share and everything was delicious. Service was friendly, prompt and courteous. Desserts were delicately prepared and a great end to our meal!

My husband, daughter, and I came for dinner on a Sunday evening. We were kindly welcomed and well taken care of. We had the mushrooms, artichokes, and salad with Parmesan to start with. They were all delicious. We each had the steak with peppercorn sauce for dinner, again excellent, with mashed potatoes and spinach as sides, which were also very good. For dessert my daughter and I had crème brûlée and my husband had the tarte Tatin…we loved them! Lastly, THE BREAD…dreamy!!! After being unable to get a reservation, the last time we were in Paris a year ago, we were happy to be able to go this year, and look forward to our return the next time we’re here, it is that good! Thank you to the wonderful chefs and staff! P.s. There are non-alcoholic drink options for those who do not drink.

Nestled in the heart of Paris’s vibrant 4th arrondissement, Bistrot Des Tournelles offers a warm and authentic bistro experience that captures the essence of traditional French cuisine. Located at 6 Rue des Tournelles, this charming eatery has won over locals and travelers alike with its comforting dishes, attentive service, and intimate atmosphere.

The culinary delights here are truly memorable. Guests frequently highlight the tenderness of the steaks, served either with a nuanced peppercorn sauce or simply on their own to let the meat’s quality shine through. Accompaniments like creamy mashed potatoes, sautéed spinach, and fresh, well-seasoned starters—such as mushrooms and artichokes—create a harmonious balance on the plate. The bread is often described as “dreamy,” reinforcing the care and tradition poured into each preparation.

Desserts, a true highlight, range from the classic, velvety crème brûlée to the rustic and rich tarte Tatin, and even a generous baba au rhum. These sweet finales are thoughtfully crafted and generously portioned, perfect for sharing and rounding off the meal with grace.

Service at Bistrot Des Tournelles is generally warm and efficient, setting a cozy, intimate tone for the dining experience. While some patrons have noticed the bistro draws a tourist crowd—primarily American visitors—the quality of the food and the convivial atmosphere remain compelling reasons to visit. Booking ahead is essential, as demand is high, especially during peak hours.

For those seeking a genuine taste of Parisian bistro culture, immersed in a classic setting with expertly prepared dishes and friendly staff, Bistrot Des Tournelles stands out as a worthy destination. Despite minor critiques on pacing, the overall commitment to French culinary tradition shines brightly here, making it a spot to return to time and again.
